From November 2005 to February 2007, CONAM worked over 960,000 field man-hours as the main installation contractor for the setting, installation and interconnection of two (2) completely new oil production drill sites - CD3 and CD4 and a major gas liquids processing unit expansion - ACX3 at the Alpine Central Production Facility on the North Slope of Alaska. This large project involved challenging remote-site logistics dependent upon a narrow winter ice road window, with limited housing and infrastructure. CONAM performed significant off-site preassembly work in Deadhorse primarily for the CD3 and CD4 drill site modules in order to accomplish critical time-line work when the work-sites were awaiting ice road construction. Drill site module facilities installed at both CD3 and CD4 included: Remote Electrical Instrument Module (REIM); Emergency Shutdown; Test Separator; Production Heater; Fuel Gas Skid; Pigging; Chemical Injection; Communications Tower; Pipe Racks. Drill site work included Well House installation and Well Tie-Ins for Production and Injection Wells.
The ACX3 Process Facilities included: 82'-6" high x 90" diameter CFM9 Stabilizer Tower (75 tons) and assembly of six truckable process modules into a 3-story structure. Associated facilities included: Feed, Reflux and Hot Oil Pumps; Hot Oil Fired Heater; Fuel Gas Skid; Reboiler and Hot Oil Surge Drums; Burner Management System (BMS); Tie-in Pigging and REIM Modules for CD3 and CD4. The workforce peaked a 243 staff and craft personnel.
